Questo progetto potrebbe essere sicuramente un'alternativa all'energia nucleare. L' aerogeneratore sfrutta i venti d'alta quota (oltre i 500 metri di altezza dal suolo) con l'utilizzo di aquiloni che, collegati all'aerogeneratore per mezzo di funi speciali, generano tanta energia quanta potrebbe essere quella prodotta da una media centrale nucleare. Si parte da 100 metri di diametro dell' aerogeneratore per una potenza di circa 0.5 MW a 1000/1250 metri di diametro per una potenza massima di circa 1000 MW ossia 1 GW di potenza. E' importante sapere che l'Italia, per quanto riguarda la potenza richiesta, ha bisogno mediamente di 42 GW di potenza elettrica lorda istantanea perciò con circa 40 impianti di questo tipo si coprirebbe l'intero fabbisogno nazionale di energia elettrica.
